Soundtrack Saturday: The Conspiracy of Us
Soundtrack Saturday is a feature, created by Erin over at The Hardcover Lover, for bloggers to share playlists based on books they've read. To find out more, check out the meme's homepage! (Also, the beautiful graphic belongs to Erin, as I'm challenged in all things graphic/blog design.)
Once I found this feature, I knew it would be a feature I wanted to do because DUH. Music and books are my two favorite things. It probably won't be a feature I do weekly, but I'll do one for every book that I feel really inspired a soundtrack.
My pick for the first ever Soundtrack Saturday here at Reading Over Sleeping is:
The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall
Publication Date: January 13th, 2015
Goodreads
Buy links: Amazon - Barnes and Noble - The Book Depository
These are songs I felt fit in with a certain scene, described a character or a relationship between characters, and/or just the general feel of the book. (Which I REALLY liked, by the way.)
Lips Are Moving - Meghan Trainor
Secrets - OneRepublic
Deadly Conversation - State Champs
"We're indifferent, to this deadly conversation..."
Part of Your World - Jodi Benson (soundtrack)
All About Us - He Is We ft. Owl City
Out of the Woods - Taylor Swift
"Are we out of the woods yet?"
Amnesia - 5 Seconds of Summer
I Knew You Were Trouble - Taylor Swift
I'll Run - The Cab
"Have a little faith in me..."
The Heart Wants What it Wants - Selena Gomez
That's what my soundtrack for The Conspiracy of Us looks like! Have you read it? What would you add to the list?
I've been dying to read this book, and I love the soundtrack you made, so I will definitely be getting to it soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating! It's always fun to see when others do too. I just added your post to the link up. :)
I hope you end up liking it as much as I did! I had a blast making the playlist. This is such a fun feature, so I was happy to participate! thanks for stopping by. :)
