Book Bloggers and Books Tag!

Do certain books remind you of certain bloggers? Well, now there's a tag for that, courtesy of Kaitlin over at Reading Is My Treasure. (The graphic is also Kaitlin's, by the way.)

I wasn't tagged for this, but I wanted to do it anyway because heck yeah there are books that remind me of blogger friends. So let's get to it. Also, if you want to find out more, check out the original post

Sarah J. Maas's Throne of Glass series reminds me of Katie @ Polished Page-Turners. Katie didn't really push this on me, but she's a huge champion for this series and her enthusiasm made me want to read it. I ended up falling in love with the world and the characters, and I have Katie to thank for that.

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson reminds me of Mandi, who booktubes at Oh It's Mandi. I feel like I need to read this book now because Mandi hasn't read a whole lot of fantasy, but she loved this book. She talked about it in tons of her videos, and she called it one of her favorite reads of the year so far. So yeah. Mandi, if you're reading this, I will read this SOON.

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta reminds me of ma girl, Willa @ Willa's Ramblings. Willa is my Jellicoe buddy. When she first introduced herself, she talked about her obsession, and I was like DUDE, SAME. So now when I have Jellicoe feels, I go straight to her. Because Jonah Griggs is not just a name but a state of mind. *winks* *sobs*

Uglies by Scott Westerfield makes me think of Stacie @ Book Nerd Addict. I don't remember when exactly, but a while back Stacie said that this series is the way that got her into reading YA. It's been on my radar ever since. And a few weeks ago, the thrift shop I volunteer at got a copy, so I picked it up for sixty cents. Score! So Stacie, I'll be reading it hopefully sometime soon.

So that's it! I hope you liked reading a bit about the connections my brain makes when i think of certain books. I tag any of the bloggers (and BookTuber ;)) mentioned, if they so desire. Or you can be me and not get tagged but do it anyway! :)

  1. Yay! Thank you for doing the tag. It was fun, wasn't it?

I really hope you like Uglies. I'm glad Stacie's a fan of the series too. I don't seem to know many other bloggers who love those books (well, I'm not aware of them loving them).

    1. You're most welcome! It was fun. :) And I hope I do too! It's a big book, but it looks interesting!

Here’s what the exquisite, prolific GODy sed
    (with an excellent bullshot dectector):

    “Faith, hope, and love,
the greatest of these is love -
    jump into faith...
    and you'll see with love”
    Doesn’t matter if you don’t believe (what I write);
    God believes in you.

Meet me Upstairs, girl, where the Son never goes down
from a passionate, prolific iconoclasm where you’ll find
    astronomically prodigious,
