Hi, everyone! Today I'm really excited to kick off the Without Me Blog Tour! Without Me is the first in Megan Duke's new NA series, The Mind Breaker Accounts.

I'm going to be introducing you to Amos Beckett, who's a pretty interesting character. Before we get into him though, let's find out more about Without Me!

For 21-year-old Denni, there is no doubt in her mind that Amos is the one. That is until Jack manages to catch her attention. When she discovers it isn’t just a crush causing this stranger to intrude her thoughts, a secret world of mind control is unleashed around her. It is revealed that both Amos and Jack belong to a special breed of humans called Mind Breakers, and over time Denni learns that the last two years of her life have been controlled by their influence. Soon she realizes that the people she thought she knew, and the life she has most recently grown accustomed to, might not have ever been real in the first place. Her thoughts, emotions, and physical actions are all at stake.
So who can she trust?
This, of course, is Denni’s past. Now she is forced to retell her story from the beginning in hopes that the worst of it will never happen again.

Quick Q&A with Megan!
*PSA: My questions/butt-ins will be bolded, like so, and Megan's answers will be not bolded, like so.*

How did you come up with the idea for this character? How did Amos Beckett come to be?

Amos Beckett developed from the idea that nothing is as perfect as it seems. I envisioned Amos living this magical and luxuriously lifestyle. He was the guy that everyone wanted or wanted to be. But in my head I wanted to break that image. I pictured him being completely broken on the inside. He’s someone that lies to himself and everyone else just to believe that everything is okay when it’s not.

Do you have an Amos fancast, er, author-cast? If so, who is it?

Definitely Tom Felton! (Serena sidenote: YES. VERY YES.)

What artists/songs would be on Amos’s playlists?

The XX, The Neighbourhood, & and Bastille would definitely be on the playlist. (Serena sidenote: I like him more already.)

And finally, what should people do on May 19th, if they’re so inclined to get to know Amos a little better?

They should go buy the first book in The Mind Breaker Accounts, Without me! It will be available in paperback and on Kindle ebook!
